So I finished my 1st app. It is only for Android Devices for now but I am working on an iPhone app as soon as I can get a hold of a Machintosh machine to delevlop on. Any donators? ;) Anyways, you can find the Android app here.
How does it work?
So Wal-Mart does this thing called Price Matching. In summary, if a local competitor is advertising the exact item (minus store brand) for less, you tell them what the price is and they will change it at the register (you do not need the advertisement and that is where this site comes in handy). The best results that I have had are to have the normal priced items done first and then do the price matching items. I usually separate them with the nice black item divider… Saves you from having to go to a bunch of different stores to get the good deals. Anyways, the official website for their policy can be found here.
Should work with almost any recent browser (Internet Explorer, Chrome, etc). It has been tested on the iPhone but just need to use the "Show only Selected/Show all" to show the items you have selected. It has been tested on an Android based Tablet PC which means it should work on the Android phones too...
This site pulls its information from multiple local grocers’ advertisements. It is automated which means it can make mistakes. So there is no warranty or guarantee that the prices are accurate. Use at your own risk. I will not be held responsible for anyone yelling at you at the line from casher or people behind you while you check out 20 containers of nutmeg for 10 cents each. If you do come across items that are not accurate, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will do my best to correct the issue.
I do this in my spare time…which isn’t much. If you want to donate to the cause, feel free to send a donation to my PayPal account here:
